Specialty Water Gardens is a proud member of the Atlantic|Oase Professional Contractor Program.
Specialty Water Gardens & Landscapes has been in business since 2007, providing central Missouri with the highest quality water features. Josiah and Anne Crousore started the business when they noticed a growing need for a dedicated water feature focused landscape company. Our team enjoys forming relationships with clients to develop a personalized and uniquely landscaped oasis for each client.
Josiah has worked in the landscaping field beginning in 1994 and has been involved in retail and wholesale operations, installation, and many aspects of the industry. Passionate about water features, he is a Missouri Master Gardener and a certified Atlantic|Oase professional contractor. He enjoys long hikes in the woods, exploring and gathering inspiration from nature, fishing, and spending time working around his rural property with his family.
Anne has been in the green industry her whole life growing up with a mother, grandmother, and uncle who were passionate about gardening. She began working her first job at her Uncle's greenhouse and nursery in St. James, Missouri. Later Anne went on to earn a degree in Plant Science and Landscape Design, from the University of Missouri. In her spare time, she loves to arrange flowers, build fires, float down the river, enjoy live music and go on adventures with her husband and three children.

One pond, waterfall, or fountain in one backyard may not seem very important, but when you have a thousand similar backyard ecosystems functioning simultaneously, there’s truly a positive impact being made on the Missouri (MO) environment. Large amounts of habitat are restored for frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders. The population of each of these creatures has been declining sharply for many years now in the Missouri (MO) area. Birds have also been driven from many of their natural wetland habitats, which they need so desperately to survive. Your pond, waterfall, or fountain will provide a safe haven for these creatures and add a welcome diversity to our stressed Missouri (MO) suburban environments.
missouri County & Town Reference
missouri State Information
Missouri is landlocked and borders eight different states, a figure equaled only by its neighbor, Tennessee. Missouri is bounded by Iowa on the north; by Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee across the Mississippi River on the east; on the south by Arkansas; and by Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska (the last across the Missouri River) on the west. Whereas the northern and southern boundaries are straight lines, the Missouri Bootheel extends south between the St. Francis and the Mississippi rivers. The two largest rivers are the Mississippi (which defines the eastern boundary of the state) and the Missouri River (which flows from west to east through the state), essentially connecting the two largest metros of Kansas City and St. Louis.
Although today it is usually considered part of the Midwest,[61] Missouri was historically seen by many as a border state, chiefly because of the settlement of migrants from the South and its status as a slave state before the Civil War, balanced by the influence of St. Louis. The counties that made up "Little Dixie" were those along the Missouri River in the center of the state, settled by Southern migrants who held the greatest concentration of slaves.
In 2005, Missouri received 16,695,000 visitors to its national parks and other recreational areas totaling 101,000 acres (410 km2), giving it $7.41 million in annual revenues, 26.6% of its operating expenditures.[62] Wikipedia
