CONTRACTORS LEARN MORE
A fish pond or Water Garden as it is sometimes referred to is made up of many different parts and when those parts are assembled together correctly by a professional builder/installer, they form a beautiful and naturalistic work of art that changes personality with the time of day, the change of the seasons, and the moods of mother nature to enhance your home or business in the Phoenix & Scottsdale areas of Arizona.
When we began our career in landscape contracting in early 2000 (as The Garden Gnome), we knew that we wanted to promote sustainable, desert-wise, outdoor environments for our customers. We also knew that we could create a lush tropical feel using native and desert-adapted plants because we had done it in our own yard. Desert-wise landscaping does NOT have to be a barren wasteland with a few cacti punctuating the scene, nor does a tropical feel have to involve tender water-hungry plants that hate our alkali native soil. We wanted to create human habitats that mirrored the riparian areas that avid hikers and campers stumbled upon while exploring our great State. This, of course, involves the use of natural, organic water features that come as close to Mother Nature's design as possible.
For Cazee Ponds, it all started 12 years ago when we had a Red-Eared Slider magically appear in our swimming pool and, of course, our two kids said "WE HAVE TO KEEP IT"! We quickly jumped to our trusty pal Google and found out we needed much, much, more for this little turtle, than a rinky-dink fish tank. Brad put together a makeshift pond out of parts from a local box store after struggling to find somebody in our local area to build one. Not more than a week later he stated 'it's not big enough, it needs to be bigger", and the rest is history. Brad has always had a passion for the outdoors and aquariums. Being a former pro-fisherman Brad has had involvement in the fish community for over 35 years, from fishing to working at boat dealerships and now building koi ponds. At Cazee Ponds, we strive to bring you a beautiful water feature that can be enjoyed for years and years to come, while also being functional for the average homeowner. We don't want to install a pond for you where you will have ZERO ideas on how to maintain it. We pride ourselves in keeping up with the latest training and technologies so we can teach you how to take care of your water feature. Don't want to take care of it? Great, we also provide service plans!

One pond, waterfall, or fountain in one backyard may not seem very important, but when you have a thousand similar backyard ecosystems functioning simultaneously, there’s truly a positive impact being made on the Arizona (AZ) environment. Large amounts of habitat are restored for frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders. The population of each of these creatures has been declining sharply for many years now in the Arizona (AZ) area. Birds have also been driven from many of their natural wetland habitats, which they need so desperately to survive. Your pond, waterfall, or fountain will provide a safe haven for these creatures and add a welcome diversity to our stressed Arizona (AZ) suburban environments.

arizona State Information
Arizona is in the Southwestern United States as one of the Four Corners states. Arizona is the sixth largest state by area, ranked after New Mexico and before Nevada. Of the state's 113,998 square miles (295,000 km2), approximately 15% is privately owned. The remaining area is public forest and park land, state trust land and Native American reservations. There are 24 National Park Service maintained sites in Arizona, including the three national parks of Grand Canyon National Park, Saguaro National Park, and the Petrified Forest National Park.[56]
Arizona is well known for its desert Basin and Range region in the state's southern portions, which is rich in a landscape of xerophyte plants such as the cactus. This region's topography was shaped by prehistoric volcanism, followed by the cooling-off and related subsidence. Its climate has exceptionally hot summers and mild winters. The state is less well known for its pine-covered north-central portion of the high country of the Colorado Plateau (see Arizona Mountains forests).
Like other states of the Southwest United States, Arizona is marked by high mountains, the Colorado plateau, and mesas. Despite the state's aridity, 27% of Arizona is forest,[57] a percentage comparable to modern-day Romania or Greece.[58] The world's largest stand of ponderosa pine trees is in Arizona.[59] Wikipedia
